I like to think of myself as an optimistic atheist and enthusiastic agnostic. I don't believe in a higher power, but I'm always open to ideas, feedback, discussions, any sort of evidence that either side wants to bring to the table. I believe that the militant, irreverent, angry atheists are no different than the loud-mouthed, dogmatic evangelists and street preachers that irritate all of us on the other end of the spectrum. I believe that religion can be a weapon to destroy and divide, but can also be used to enhance people's spiritual journeys and lives. My opinions are not any more valuable than anyone else's. Even if it is a false illusion, who am I to rob someone of their deeply personal and sacred views if they aren't hurting anyone?
